“If you have not made a membership donation since 7/1/2018, please renew for 2019 by either check sent to the BHF PO Box or paying by credit card online.
If you don’t want to use our safe, secure online payment, please download, print, and mail us a completed member form to update any new contact info such as address, phone, or email changes.
By the end of December, only members who have joined or renewed for 2019 will receive a 2019 membership card providing free admission to the Heinz History Center, the Fort Pitt Museum, and the Meadowcroft Rock Shelter. Also, 2019 eligibility will provide access to the “member only” information on our website and eligibility to vote for BHF Board Members who will be elected at our January, 2019 Annual Members Meeting.”

In the next several weeks, BHF will offer on its website a “Members Only” information section on our website to provide access to organizational updates and reminders, and Board minutes and reports. To register and receive access to this section, members must have made a member donation for the current year. Also, we will be launching a 2019 New Member and Current Member annual renewal drive starting in November. Additionally, members will be voting at a February, 2019, BHF Annual Meeting for BHF Board Members.
For these and other purposes, we consider membership donations made on or after 7/1/2017 as active through 2018 ; and will consider member donations made on or after 7/1/2018 as active through 2019. Members who are not in active status have been notified by email.
Members receive notice of all BHF events and business and are eligible to vote for Directors of the BHF Board. Membership is open to all persons who pledge to support the BHF mission and make an annual membership contribution.
With your membership you also get free admission to the Heinz History Center via their Affiliates Program. The annual membership card we send you will allow up to four persons per visit to the Heinz History Center, The Fort Pitt Museum, and the Meadowcroft Rockshelter and Historic Village.
Suggested Membership: $30, $20 (retired, underemployed), $10 (student).
2. Membership and Donation: If you chose to donate an amount above our membership threshold of $30, we will treat that as a tax-deduction contribution to the Battle of Homestead Foundation, approved as a 501c3 non-profit corporation for charitable and educational purposes.
3. Donation Only: If you want to dedicate your contribution in the name of a person or project and forego a membership, you can include that in a memo box that says, “Add special instructions to the seller:” after you click on the online Donate button and put in a dollar amount. We will treat that as a tax-deduction contribution to the Battle of Homestead Foundation, approved as a 501c3 non-profit corporation for charitable and educational purposes.
4. Monthly Deduction: We also offer the opportunity to pay your membership dues monthly. Simply check the box marked “Make this a monthly donation,” and you can indicate an amount as low as $3.00 per month. You can change or cancel a recurring donation anytime in your PayPal account settings. The amount you enter will be paid to BHF each month from your PayPal account. Don’t have PayPal?
