To introduce the 2019 BHF program series, peoples’ historians Eric Leif Davin, Charlie McCollester, Jacqui Cavalier, and Howard Scott will spotlight the turbulent post-war era of 1919 USA. We’ll hear about Suffragettes on the march; immigrants’ struggle for labor and civil rights; and the great migration North of Black Americans, wartime unions, the 1919 steel strike, and radicalism and resistance to capitalism.
